Life cycle

Waking up each day,
Wishing I could sleep more.

Running to school all weekends,
Waiting for the weekend.

Rushing through twelfth grade,
Wanting to end up in college.

Passing away lesuire time alone,
Hoping for a good partner.

Marrying in a register office,
Enjoying a week on honeymoon.

Satisfying came the first born,
Praying the two never fight again.

Scraping up my work load,
Needing to spend more time with family.

Hunting a good school for them,
Expecting a well respected person in return.

Scanning through the proposals,
Spending all day with grand children.

Waking up from my reverie,
Wishing I could sleep forever.
Rocking in my chair,
Waiting to shake hands with death.
